Mrs. Patricia McKenzie

Mrs. McKenzie, a national of Trinidad and Tobago, brings over 30 years of experience in the fields of international development, Commercial Banking, Central Banking and Oil and Gas Finance.

Prior to joining the CDB in March, 2015, Mrs. Mc Kenzie worked for 13 years, from 2002-2015 at the Work Bank Group, on wide range of operational policies, sector strategies, development finance operations and solutions (including investment finance, development policy operations, results based lending), economic and sector work and analytical/advisory services.

She was well recognized and had a proven track record of collaborative leadership working with clients and development stakeholders, her ability to deliver creative and innovative operational solutions, to develop and groom future leaders of the WBG, to manage financial resources prudently and to design and deliver a high quality portfolio of Public Financial Management and Governance Operations for the full client set of high income, middle income and countries experiencing or emerging from fragility and conflict.

While at the World Bank she took on roles of increasing complexity, depth and breath, serving as Practice Manager – Public Resource Mobilization and Management, in the Governance Global Practice (Africa Region); Sector Manager – Financial Management (Africa Region); Regional Financial Management Manager (Middle East and North Africa); Lead Financial Management Specialist (Latin American and the Caribbean Region); Senior Financial Management Specialist (Operations and Country Services

Her other work experience, spans 17 years and includes that of Vice President (Country Compliance Officer and Financial Controller) at Citibank, Bolivia (1999-2002); Chief Accountant of Guardian Life of the Caribbean(1999); Assistant Vice President (Quality Assurance and Business Risk Compliance), Citibank Trinidad and Tobago (1996-1999); Examiner, Regulation and Supervision at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (1990-1996); and Assistant Accountant at the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (1986-1989).

Among many awards which she received while at the WBG the most significant was the 8Th Annual Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award conferred by the (then) President of the World Bank, for excellence in leadership and inclusion of a diverse cadre of Bank Group Staff.

Ms. Mc Kenzie is a Fellow and Associate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants of England. She holds a Certificate in Public Financial Management from Harvard University John F Kennedy School of Government, USA and has completed the Duke Executive Leadership Program at the Fuqua School of Business.

Mrs. Mc Kenzie is married and has one grown child.
