Transportation to Opening Ceremony

 

Transportation to and from the ceremony will be provided for guests staying at Holiday Inn.

Please see bus schedules below:

  • 1st pick-up from Holiday Inn - 5:00 pm
  • 2nd pick-up from Holiday Inn – 5:30 pm.
  • Return to Holiday Inn from Western Jamaica Campus - 8:00 pm
  • 2nd trip to Holiday Inn from Western Jamaica Campus - 8:30 pm

Tour: Rick's Cafe, Negril

 

Come join us for a dinner and sunset tour to the world famous attraction Rick's Cafe located in Negril, Jamaica on Friday, January 9, 2015.

The package will include transportation to and from the attraction as well as food (excluding drinks) and will cost US$90. Please indicate your interest and pay at the registration desk up to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday January 8, 2015, so ensure that you book your place early! The bus leaves the Conference Hotel at 3pm sharp on Friday!

Deadline for Final Paper Submission Extended

 
Due to an overwhelming number of requests, the deadline for final paper submission has been extended to December 5th 2014. Please note as well that the submission of the full paper is not a requirement for participants to present their papers at the conference once the abstract has been accepted.

Keynote Speaker: Professor David Storey

 

David Storey, OBE, is Professor at the Department of Business Management and Economics at University of Sussex, UK. He has a First Class Degree in Economics, a Diploma in Applied Statistics and a PhD in Economics. He has two honorary Doctorates and has been Visiting Professor at the Universities of Manchester, Reading and Durham, and was an International Fellow at Sydney University in 2009. He is an EIM Fellow. Hans Landstrom et al in Research Policy 2012 reports that David Storey is the highest ranked non-US scholar in Entrepreneurship. His book Understanding the Small Business Sector, published in 1994, is in ninth place overall in the Entrepreneurship “core works” – again the highest place for a scholar with no US affiliations.
