Professor Hopeton Dunn is the Director of the Mona ICT Policy Centre, UWI. He is also the Director of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC). He is the current Chairman of Jamaica’s Broadcasting Commission and the immediate past Secretary General of the International Association of Communication Research (IAMCR). He is Professor of Communications Policy and Digital Media of the University of the West Indies. His books and academic papers have been in the areas of ICT Policy, New Media and Culture, Theories of Globalization, and the Political Economy of African and Caribbean Media. He has delivered lectures or presented on academic panels on these subjects in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
