Travel Advisory

As part of our border protection initiatives, the Government of Jamaica recently issued a travel ban against certain persons traveling directly or indirectly from or through Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone in light of the outbreak of Ebola in the countries. The ban extends to persons ordinarily resident in these three countries, commonwealth citizens who are not citizens of Jamaica and CARICOM nationals despite the free movement regime. Jamaican citizens and residents who have traveled to these areas within 28 days of arrival to Jamaica will be quarantined in the interest of public health and national security upon their arrival in Jamaica.
